Watch Nicki Minaj Dodge Dangerous Projectile and Return Fire on Stage
Music Nation 365 Exclusive: The Rise of Disturbing Trend in Concerts
There has been a disturbing trend emerging in the music industry, with fans feeling bold enough to throw objects on stage while artists are performing. The latest victim of this behavior is none other than Nicki Minaj, who experienced this firsthand during a stop on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour in Detroit.
During her performance of the hit song “Starships,” Minaj was surprised by a bracelet flying in her direction from the audience. Displaying her athletic prowess, she swiftly swatted the accessory aside, showcasing her impressive hand-eye coordination.
The object thrown at the iconic artist clearly irritated her, as she proceeded to pick it up and hurl it back into the audience with tremendous force.
Despite the incident, Minaj didn’t let it overshadow the fun of her concert. Taking to social media after the show, she expressed her gratitude for the fantastic energy of the Detroit crowd, labeling them as loud, happy, fly, pretty, sexy, and overall unforgettable.
Drake, another prominent figure in the music industry, has also faced similar challenges with fans throwing objects on stage. During a show in Detroit last year as part of his It’s All A Blur Tour, women in the audience were tossing bras and other items onto the stage.
Expressing his dismay at the situation, Drake pleaded with the audience to stop throwing bras on stage, humorously referring to it as “t-tty clean-up duty.” Despite the unexpected interruptions, he remained grateful for the opportunity to perform for his fans.
Minaj is set to continue her Pink Friday 2 World Tour this week with shows in Chicago and Minneapolis. On the music front, she recently released the star-studded “FTCU (Sleeze Mix)” featuring Travis Scott, Chris Brown, and Sexyy Red.
