Despite the recent events, Cardi has stayed silent on the indictment on her social media platforms. Nevertheless, shortly after the news broke, she shared a captivating photo of herself dressed in Fenty lingerie for her upcoming film, Hustlers.
Cardi B has been accused of orchestrating an assault on two bartenders at Angel’s Strip Club, identified as Jade and Baddie G. Reportedly motivated by rumors that Jade had a romantic involvement with Cardi’s husband, Offset, the incident left the bartenders with injuries. There is video evidence showing Cardi throwing an ice bucket at the women during the altercation.
Initially, Cardi faced only two misdemeanor charges of assault and reckless endangerment. However, after turning down a plea deal in April, she is now confronting 14 charges, two of which are felony counts for attempted assault with the intent to cause serious physical harm. Other charges include criminal solicitation, conspiracy, and harassment related to the brawl.
The details of the indictment will remain sealed until Cardi’s arraignment in a Queens courtroom, scheduled for Tuesday afternoon, as reported by ABC News. Cardi’s attorney, Jeff Kern, is yet to comment on the matter, but he has previously stated that there is no evidence suggesting Cardi caused harm that night and that they expect a swift resolution.
On the other hand, Joe Tacopina, an attorney representing the alleged victims, has a different perspective. He claims that Cardi B was the mastermind behind the violent assaults and must face justice for her actions. According to him, Cardi boasts about her celebrity status giving her immunity from the law, as she allegedly orchestrated the attacks.
