During a backstage mix-up, LaBelle found himself in a spontaneous one-on-one talk with Axl Rose, who turned out to be incredibly kind and engaging. The interaction left LaBelle and guitarist John Notto of Dirty Honey in awe of the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer’s down-to-earth demeanor.

Describing the serendipitous meeting, LaBelle shared, “It was great. He was super sweet, and in very good spirits… he was very nice. We just talked shit for like 20-30 minutes.” The surreal moment unfolded when he accidentally ended up face-to-face with Rose instead of his band mates.

Notto added a humorous touch, reminiscing about being left behind in the friends and family room while LaBelle enjoyed the dream scenario of chatting with Axl Rose. The band also shared an amusing anecdote involving retired NHL player Henrik Lundqvist and Slash, reflecting on their journey as they look back on opening for Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators.
