Taylor Swift’s Jaw-Dropping Moment: Flying Plane Matches ‘Labyrinth’ Lyrics!
Taylor Swift is bringing a bit of magic to her Eras tour!
After kicking off the Latin American leg of her Eras Tour on Thursday, the pop superstar posted a hilarious Instagram from her first performance in Buenos Aires.
On Monday, Swift shared a video of herself on stage during the Thursday show, playing the piano while singing a stripped-down version of “Labyrinth” from her 2022 album Midnights.
In the video, a plane is seen flying over Argentina’s Estadio River Plate. Just as it flew by, the 33-year-old sang, “I thought the plane was going down / How’d you turn it right around?”
“Never beating the sorcery allegations ✨🛬✨,” Swift captioned the post.
Swift’s acoustic rendition of “Labyrinth” was the first time she performed the song live and was one of the two “surprise songs” for the Thursday performance. Swift also performed “The Very First Night,” one of the “From the Vault” tracks from Red (Taylor’s Version).
The entire clip included the chorus to “Labyrinth,” which begins with “Uh oh, I’m falling in love / Oh no, I’m falling in love again / Oh, I’m falling in love.”
“Labyrinth” appeared on the setlist amid her new romance with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
Following the singer’s Thursday night performance, she kept the surprises rolling in. On Saturday, Kelce joined the crowd to watch Swift perform during the second Buenos Aires performance. During the show, the Speak Now singer changed the lyrics to the popular Midnights song “Karma.”
The pop star switched up the lyrics to the song, singing, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me,” leading Kelce, 34, to flash a big grin. The “Lavender Haze” singer’s dad also reacted with excitement, tapping Kelce on the shoulder and clapping in support.
Kelce then put his hands over his head in shock as fans cheered, before raising his arms and bobbing them along to the song.
In another clip posted by a fan taken moments later, Swift appeared to look fondly towards Kelce from the stage as he blew her a kiss and waved at her at the end of the song.
After the show, the couple was spotted celebrating together. Fans caught footage of the “Lavender Haze” singer rushing off the stage to give the NFL star a kiss.
Swift is next headed for Brazil to perform three concerts in Rio de Janeiro and three in SĂŁo Paulo between Nov. 17 and Nov. 26. The Latin American leg of her tour marks the final stretch of the Eras Tour for 2023, which began in North America in March.
The singer will be out on the road again next year, with scheduled Eras Tour performances in Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and the U.K.
