Rock Legend Axl Rose Facing Shocking Sexual Abuse Allegations – What You Need to Know!
It’s been a shocking week in the music industry as news surfaced of a lawsuit filed against Guns N’ Roses’ frontman, Axl Rose. The lawsuit, which initiated the legal process this past Wednesday, was brought forth by model Sheila Kennedy, alleging sexual abuse by the rock musician dating back to 1989. This case is just one of many lawsuits recently filed under New York’s Adult Survivor Act, which recently came into effect on November 23rd.
Sheila Kennedy, a former Penthouse magazine model, made headlines when she announced her formal lawsuit against Axl Rose in a New York court. In her statement, she recalls a night in 1989 when she accompanied the singer back to his hotel room after a party at a club, joined by the driver, Riki Rachtman. What she discovered upon arrival left her stunned – drugs, alcohol, and another model, engaging in sexual acts with Rose in full view of their guests.
Feeling uncomfortable and unsafe in the situation, Kennedy and Rachtman made a swift exit from the room. However, Rose was not content to let them leave, and he pursued Kennedy back to her hotel room, using physical force to sexually abuse her. Kennedy emphasized that the singer’s actions had put her life in danger, making it impossible for her to escape the harrowing situation at the time.
This lawsuit is just one of many that have been brought forward under the New York state law that now allows adult survivors to speak out about past trauma, no matter how many years have passed. Axl Rose’s lawyer has vehemently denied all accusations, stating firmly that “that never happened.”
