Watch Kanye West Unveil Mysterious ‘Vultures’ in Bone-Chilling Trailer
Kanye West, now known as Ye, recently unveiled a chilling trailer for his upcoming collaborative project with Ty Dolla $ign, Vultures. Directed by Jon Rafman, the visual teases the project’s dark and mysterious theme without any actual appearances from the featured artists, including Ye, Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Durk, and Bump J.
The eerie trailer depicts citizens being summoned by vultures, their souls seemingly taken over by a new host. As the city faces an explosive threat, these citizens vanish one by one, setting the stage for an intense battle.
Ye’s master plan for Vultures involves releasing the project in three different volumes, with the first installment scheduled for release on February 9th, as previously announced. Subsequent volumes are set to drop on March 8th and April 5th. Ye confirmed these release dates and revealed the album covers on his Instagram Story.
Originally slated for release in October, Vultures faced multiple delays, with the latest setbacks pushing the release date into the new year. One possible reason for the delays could be sampling issues, with Nicki Minaj expressing reluctance to clear her vocals for the track “New Body” which was intended for Ye’s previous album, Yandhi, in 2018.
In response to Minaj’s reservations, Ye pointed out his contributions to her career, recalling how he made her rewrite her verse multiple times for the track “Monster.” Despite any possible setbacks or clearance issues, the first volume of Vultures is set to debut on February 9th.
