Experience Guns N’ Roses’ Explosive New Music Video for Hit Single ‘The General’
The iconic rock band Guns N’ Roses has recently released an official video for their latest single “The General,” which debuted in early December. Directed by Daniel G Potter at creativeworks.london, the video combines live footage with AI-powered animations depicting a dystopian future. The creative studio behind the video, creativeworks.london, is renowned for its brand-centric narrative-driven content, motion packages, and real-time game assets.
This isn’t the first time creativeworks.london has collaborated with Guns N’ Roses. They previously worked on videos for singles like “Absurd” and “Hard Skool” and provided on-tour video animations, including a set-opening clip at the Power Trip festival in California. The studio has also worked with other music industry giants like Metallica, Aerosmith, and the Dead Daisies. The video for “The General” offers viewers a psychedelic visual journey, blending concert footage with an exploration of dark childhood memories.
Originally conceptualized during the Chinese Democracy sessions, “The General” was officially recorded, mixed, and mastered in the summer of 2023. Produced by Axl Rose and Caram Costanzo, who also contributed on keyboards, the track features a lineup that includes original members Duff McKagan and Slash, as well as touring members Richard Fortis and Dizzy Reid. Additional musicians on the track include Marc Haggard on guitar, Chris Pitman on keyboards, and Bryan Mantia on drums. The strings on the song were arranged by Italian film composer Marco Beltrami.
For fans of Guns N’ Roses, this latest video release showcases the band’s ability to blend powerful music with visually captivating storytelling. Stay tuned for more updates on Classic Rock and exclusive offers delivered straight to your inbox by signing up below!
