Experience the Thrilling AI Video for Guns N’ Roses’ Latest Hit, “The General”
Welcome to Music Nation 365, where we bring you the latest and greatest news from the world of music! Today, we are excited to share with you some thrilling updates from none other than hard-rock icons Guns N’ Roses.
Late last year, Guns N’ Roses released a newly recorded version of a Chinese Democracy rarity called “The General.” And now, to add to the excitement, they have just dropped the music video for this stormy single. The video is a psychedelic visual trip that combines concert footage with AI-generated clips, delving into “the subconscious of a young boy who stares down the monsters of dark childhood memories.” It’s truly a mesmerizing experience, so be sure to check it out above!
The band collaborated on the video with Dan Potter, Creative Director of London-based creative studio Creative Works, adding an extra layer of artistic flair to the project.
“The General” was initially released as the vinyl-only B-side to the August 2023 single “Perhaps.” Guns N’ Roses performed this song live for the first time during their two-night stand at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles last year. Just like “Perhaps,” “The General” is a slow-burning masterpiece that showcases the band’s incredible talent and versatility.
This release is part of a series of Chinese Democracy leftovers that Guns N’ Roses have been sharing with fans over the last couple of years. In addition to “The General,” the band has also dropped tracks like “ABSUЯD” and “Hard Skool,” the latter of which dates back to 1999 and was leaked in 2006 under the name “Checkmate.” It’s clear that Guns N’ Roses are continuing to captivate audiences with their music, proving that their legacy as rock legends is stronger than ever.
So, whether you’re a die-hard Guns N’ Roses fan or simply appreciate great music, be sure to give “The General” and its accompanying music video a listen. And stay tuned for more exciting updates from the world of music, right here at Music Nation 365!
