Don’t Miss Slash and The Conspirators Rocking Out to A Rare Guns N’ Roses Classic!
Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators have embarked on their highly anticipated 2024 world tour, delighting fans with a special performance of “Don’t Damn Me,” a rare Guns N’ Roses song that has never been played live by the band themselves.
At the tour kickoff in Mexico City on January 23rd, Slash and his bandmates surprised the audience by including the deep cut from Use Your Illusion I in their setlist. Bassist Todd Kerns took on lead vocals for the song, allowing Kennedy to take a break from his usual frontman duties.
This performance holds special significance as Slash had previously expressed doubt about ever playing “Don’t Damn Me” live due to its complex lyrical structure. In a 2014 interview, he explained that the song’s rapid-fire lyrics made it challenging to perform, even for Axl Rose.
The “River Is Rising – Rest of the World Tour ’24” is set to continue its Latin American leg before heading to Asia in early March. The tour will then make its way to the UK and Europe in late March, with support from Mammoth WVH. Tickets for all upcoming shows are available for purchase here.
The band’s tour is in support of their latest album, simply titled 4, which was released in early 2022. The name “Rest of the World Tour” signifies that the band has already completed a North American tour in support of the album.
In addition to the surprise Guns N’ Roses cover, the opening night of the tour featured renditions of Lenny Kravitz’s “Always on the Run” and Elton John’s “Rocket Man.”
