The highly anticipated “Vultures 1” album collaboration between Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign has finally been released after a series of fakeouts. This album is the first in a trilogy, with the second volume set for release on March 8 and the third volume on April 5. Featuring a star-studded list of contributors such as Lil Durk, Bump J, Freddie Gibbs, Playboi Carti, Travis Scott, Quavo, and even West’s oldest daughter, North, this album is creating quite a buzz in the music industry.
After a chaotic rollout, the official version of the album has been made available on streaming services, including Spotify. The Yzy brand, associated with West, seems to have taken the lead in releasing the album, as traditional record label credits are absent. Vinyl, CD, and digital versions of “Vultures 1” are also available for purchase on West’s Yeezy website.
Similar to the release of West’s previous album, “Donda,” public listening events were held in major cities like Chicago and Queens prior to the official release of “Vultures 1.” Notable exclusions from the album include a sample of Ozzy Osbourne’s live recording of Black Sabbath’s “Iron Man,” as Osbourne and his manager-wife Sharon objected to West’s controversial comments and refused to clear the sample.
Despite some setbacks with securing clearances for certain tracks, the album has received a mix of reviews that are constantly evolving with each public listening event.
