Breaking: Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign’s Hit ‘Vultures 1’ Holds No. 1 Spot for Second Consecutive Week!

Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) and Ty Dolla $ign are celebrating as their collaborative album Vultures 1 secures the top spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart for the second consecutive week. The album garnered 75,000 equivalent album units in its second week in the U.S., a slight decline of 50%.

Notably, Vultures 1 marks Ye’s first album to spend multiple weeks at No. 1 since 2011’s Watch the Throne, a joint project with Jay-Z that held the top position for two weeks. Among Ye’s 11 No. 1 albums, only three have achieved this feat, including Vultures 1, Watch the Throne, and 2005’s Late Registration, all spending a total of two weeks at the summit.

On the other hand, Yeat has achieved a career milestone with his latest album, 2093, debuting at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. This marks Yeat’s highest-charting album to date, earning 70,000 equivalent album units in its first week.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption, including album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA), and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit represents an album sale, ten individual tracks sold from an album, or a significant number of official streams generated by songs from an album.

Of Vultures 1’s 75,000 units, SEA units account for 72,000 (down 44%), album sales contribute 2,000 (down 89%), and TEA units make up the remaining 1,000 (down 25%). Yeat’s 2093 album earned 58,000 SEA units, 12,000 album sales, and a negligible sum from TEA units. The album features collaborations with Future, Lil Wayne, and a bonus track with Drake.

Yeat’s journey on the Billboard 200 began over two years ago with Up 2 Me, followed by successful entries such as 2 Alive, Lyfe, and AfterLyfe, all debuting in the top 10. Now, with 2093 reaching No. 2 on the chart, Yeat continues to showcase his rising prominence in the music industry.

Elsewhere on the chart, Morgan Wallen‘s One Thing at a Time climbs to No. 3, Noah Kahan‘s Stick Season drops to No. 4, and SZA’s SOS maintains its position at No. 5.

Five former No. 1 albums round out the top 10, including Taylor Swift’s 1989 (Taylor’s Version), Lover, and Midnights, as well as Drake’s For All the Dogs, and 21 Savage’s American Dream, highlighting the diverse range of talent in the current music landscape.
