Axl Rose’s Bold Response to Sexual Assault Allegations Takes Arizona’s Real Rock by Storm – Tune in to 98KUPD now!
Recently, lawyers for Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose filed a response to a lawsuit from former Penthouse Pet of the Year Sheila Kennedy, who accused Rose of sexually assaulting her back in 1989 after they met at a New York nightclub.
In their response, Rose’s legal team vehemently denied the allegations of sexual assault, citing two occasions where Kennedy herself described the encounter as consensual. The first instance was in Kennedy’s 2016 memoir, No One’s Pet, where she expressed her desire to be with Rose. The second was in the 2021 documentary Look Away, where she clarified that she did not consider the encounter to be rape.
Rose’s lawyers argue that Kennedy’s lawsuit is an attempt to rewrite history for financial gain, pointing out that her story only changed after the passing of the Adult Survivor’s Act in New York, which extended the statute of limitations for victims of sexual abuse to file lawsuits.
According to Kennedy’s suit, she claims to have suffered severe emotional, physical, financial, and psychological distress from the encounter with Rose, leading to issues with physical and emotional intimacy. She is seeking unspecified damages in the lawsuit.
It seems that this legal battle is far from over as both parties stand firm in their positions. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
