Final Performance in Philly at the Epic Big Joint – Don’t Miss Out!

Hey there, Music Nation 365 fans! Are you ready to rock out with some classic AC/DC memories? Let’s take a trip down memory lane to September 20th, 2016, when AC/DC graced the stage with none other than Axl Rose on vocals in Philadelphia at the Big Joint.

This particular show was significant as it marked potentially the last tour stop for the band before taking a hiatus, and it happened before Brian Johnson rejoined as the frontman. Yep, you read that right – Axl Rose of Guns N’ Roses took over the lead vocals for that night, creating the unforgettable experience of AXL/DC. Since then, AC/DC has only performed live once more, at the Power Trip festival in California last year.

But fear not, rock fans! AC/DC is gearing up for an extensive European tour this summer, from May to August, with The Pretty Reckless joining as support. Additionally, birthday cheers go out to the legendary Angus Young, who turned 69 years old recently. Here’s to hoping AC/DC makes a triumphant return to the City of Brotherly Love and Sister Affection soon!

While we eagerly await their next tour dates, let’s reminisce about the last time AC/DC rocked Philly in 2016. Did you know that one lucky WMMR listener, Mike, got the chance to meet Angus Young himself? Talk about a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Check out some awesome concert photos from that unforgettable night, courtesy of Radio Sara.
