Experience the Raw Power of Pearl Jam’s Return with ‘Dark Matter’ – Listen Now!

Pearl Jam, the iconic Seattle rock band, has returned to their heavy roots with their 12th studio album, Dark Matter. Following the more experimental journey of their previous album Gigaton, Dark Matter is a powerful collection of 11 (mostly) robust tracks that showcase the band’s signature sound.

The album, released at the stroke of midnight via Monkeywrench Records/Republic Records, features the previously released midtempo track “Wreckage” and the title track, which soared to No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay and Rock & Alternative Airplay Charts. Grammy Award-winning producer Andrew Watt is back in the producer’s chair for Dark Matter, bringing together blazing guitars and energetic drumming to create a record that frontman Eddie Vedder describes as needing to be played “loud, like, really loud.”

Pearl Jam, who was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 2017, has had a remarkable three-decade-plus career, with 12 top 10 albums on the Billboard 200 chart, including five number ones, and over 85 million albums sold worldwide. Vedder, along with bandmates Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready, and Matt Cameron, worked on Dark Matter last year at Rick Rubin’s Shangri-La Studios in Malibu, under the guidance of Watt. The creative process was swift, with the album coming together in just three weeks.

The band premiered Dark Matter at a listening party in West Hollywood earlier this year, attended by a select group of family, friends, industry professionals, and media. Vedder expressed his confidence in the album, stating from the stage, “No hyperbole, I think this is our best work.” To support the release of Dark Matter, Pearl Jam will be embarking on a world tour in 2024, visiting nine countries and 25 cities, with the tour kicking off on May 4 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC.
