Taylor Swift’s much-anticipated album, “Tortured Poets Department,” is just around the corner, set to release on Friday, April 19. The pop superstar is ramping up the excitement by teasing the lead single, “Fortnight,” featuring none other than Post Malone.
Swift recently took to X to share a sneak peek of the upcoming music video. The teaser showcases dramatic scenes of the duo searching through files, embracing on an empty road, and even throwing chairs. The clip culminates with Swift staring into the camera with her signature smokey eye and iconic red lip.
“At this hearing, I stand before my fellow members of The Tortured Poets Department with a summary of my findings,” Swift captioned the post. She also revealed that the full music video will be dropping on Friday at 8 p.m. ET.
Earlier on the same day, Swift confirmed on Instagram that “Fortnight” would be the lead single for TTPD. She shared, “The first single from The Tortured Poets Department is…………. Fortnight featuring Post Malone. I’ve been such a huge fan of Post because of the writer he is, his musical experimentation, and those melodies he creates that just stick in your head forever. I got to witness that magic come to life firsthand when we worked together on Fortnight.”
But that’s not all. “Fortnight” is just one of the exciting collaborations on the album. Grammy-nominated alt-rock act Florence + the Machine is also featuring on the album’s eighth track, “Florida!!!” Additionally, this new single marks the first time Swift and Malone have joined forces on a track.
