Benson Boone’s captivating single “Beautiful Things” has climbed to the coveted top spot on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart as of April 27. This achievement marks Boone’s first No. 1 hit on the chart, following the success of his previous releases “Ghost Town” and “In the Stars,” which peaked at No. 24 and No. 36, respectively.

The heartwarming ballad, co-written by Benson Boone, is featured on his debut album “Fireworks & Rollerblades,” released on April 5. Boone shared with Billboard that the inspiration for the song struck him while playing his grandmother’s piano in L.A., reflecting on a new and uncertain relationship that left him feeling vulnerable and out of control.
Boone expressed, “For the first time in my life, I felt like I was extremely out of control of the way this relationship would turn out. Meaning like, in the past, I feel like I’ve always known that I could be the one to end a relationship. This one felt very different. It was the first time that I’d really been actually, genuinely terrified to lose something.”
