Exclusive Art Print Collection by Ronnie Wood of The Rolling Stones – Support Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Rehab Center!
Ronnie Wood, the iconic Rolling Stones guitarist, is utilizing his artistic talents to raise money for the Crossroads Centre Antigua rehab facility and the Turn Up for Recovery charitable movement. He has curated a collection of prints titled “One Day at a Time: A Collection of Affirmations” that features ten uplifting works of art, each adorned with a positive saying aimed at individuals on the path to recovery from addiction.
The box set is now available for purchase on Wood’s online store for $1,270. Each print is housed in a custom box with a hand-signed front sheet and individual interleave sheets. The collection embodies Wood’s personal journey through addiction recovery and aims to spread hope and positivity to those facing similar struggles.
In a heartfelt video message shared on his social media platforms, Wood expressed the inspiration behind his paintings, revealing that the words for the affirmations were born out of a group therapy session during his time in rehab. The vibrant colors and artistic style were selected spontaneously, adding a sense of fun and creativity to the pieces.
Among the affirmations featured in the collection are powerful phrases such as “One day at a time,” “Spend or expend,” “Let go… Easy does it,” “This too shall pass,” and “When I take care of myself, I can achieve anything.” Wood highlights the significance of positivity in the recovery process, emphasizing the absence of negativity in the affirmations.
Wood also shared his admiration for the Crossroads Centre and its impactful work in aiding individuals battling addiction. He acknowledged the support he received from fellow guitarist Eric Clapton, particularly recalling a pivotal moment at the Chicago Crossroads Guitar Festival when Clapton offered words of encouragement during Wood’s recovery journey.
Half of the proceeds from the sales of the “One Day at a Time” box set will be donated to the Crossroads Centre and the Turn Up for Recovery initiative. The latter, founded by Eric Clapton’s wife, Melia, advocates for complete abstinence from drugs and alcohol and provides support for those in need of addiction treatment.
In response to Wood’s charitable efforts, Melia Clapton expressed gratitude for his support in raising awareness and funds for their cause. She commended Wood for using his talent to create a positive impact and bring hope to individuals still struggling with addiction, considering it a true blessing to have someone who has overcome such challenges extend a helping hand.
By purchasing the “One Day at a Time” collection, supporters not only acquire a piece of Ronnie Wood’s artistic expression but also contribute to the vital work of the Crossroads Centre and the Turn Up for Recovery charity. Through the power of art and philanthropy, Wood and his supporters are making a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by addiction.
