Social Media Sensation GloRilla Busted for DUI and Shocking Wardrobe Mishap!
GloRilla, the Memphis rapper known for hits like “Tomorrow 2” and “Wanna Be,” made headlines recently for all the wrong reasons. The artist, whose real name is Gloria Hallelujah Woods, was arrested in Gwinnett County, Georgia, for driving under the influence. According to reports obtained by TMZ, GloRilla was handcuffed on Tuesday morning after being pulled over by a police officer for making a U-turn at a red light.
During the traffic stop, the officer claimed to have smelled marijuana and alcohol inside the car. GloRilla admitted to having been drinking that evening but refused to disclose how much she had consumed. Despite insisting she was able to drive, GloRilla failed most of the field sobriety tests administered by the officer. She even reportedly refused to take a breathalyzer test.
To add to the embarrassing situation, GloRilla’s breast reportedly slipped out from under her clothes during the stop, leading the officer to address the wardrobe malfunction. The 24-year-old rapper was taken to jail and later released on bond.
After news of her arrest spread, GloRilla responded by posting a selfie on social media, balancing a bottle of port on her head and sticking out her tongue. Some users criticized her for making light of the situation and glamorizing drink-driving. Despite the backlash, GloRilla seemed unfazed, tweeting, “We live in a generation full of fucking ass n-ggas. Ima keep my lil shit to myself, y’all got it.”
This incident comes shortly after GloRilla released her latest mixtape, “Ehhthang Ehhthang,” under Yo Gotti’s CMG and Interscope Records. The project features collaborations with artists like Moneybagg Yo, Finesse2Tymes, Real Boston Richey, Kevo Muney, and Megan Thee Stallion. The track “Wanna Be,” featuring Megan Thee Stallion, recently debuted at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100.
“Ehhthang Ehhthang” itself made an impact, opening at No. 18 on the Billboard 200 chart after garnering over 30,000 equivalent album units in its first week. Despite her legal troubles, GloRilla continues to make waves in the music industry with her latest release.
