Legendary Musician Graham Gouldman Drops Highly Anticipated Solo Album “I Have Notes” – Coming July!
10cc mainstay Graham Gouldman has exciting news for fans! He will be releasing a brand new solo album titled “I Have Notes” through Lojinx Records on July 5. What’s even more thrilling is that this album features guest appearances from a star-studded lineup including Ringo Starr, Queen guitarist Brian May, Hank Marvin, Albert Lee, and a cover courtesy of Peter Curzon at StormStudios, known for their work on several notable 10cc album covers. The artwork for the album is simply mesmerizing, designed to make you wonder and appreciate the artistry behind it.
The first single from the album, “We’re Alive,” sets the tone with its jaunty Americana-themed vibe. Gouldman shares that he co-wrote this lively track in Nashville with Beth Nielsen Chapman and Gordon Kennedy, both whom he has collaborated with before. The song exudes an exuberant energy, with lyrics like “Pull back the sofa, wind up the gramophone,” adding a charming touch of nostalgia.
“I Have Notes” promises a diverse musical experience, with tracks ranging from a space-ballad called “Floating In Heaven” featuring Brian May, to the Beatle-inspired “Couldn’t Love You More” with Ringo Starr, to the confessional “I’m Lazy” reminiscent of the 10cc era. Additionally, a live rendition of “Heart Full Of Soul” features an all-star lineup including Brian May, Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal on guitar, Derek Sherinian on keyboards, Ric Fierabracci on bass, and Simon Phillips on drums.
To celebrate the release of “I Have Notes,” Graham Gouldman will be hosting two special one-off album launch shows on July 1 and 2 at Pizza Express Live in Holborn. These shows will not only debut songs from the new album but also showcase favorites from Gouldman’s illustrious career.
