Don’t Miss Eminem’s Epic Collab with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell in New Draft Ad!
Eminem has been generating excitement for the NFL’s upcoming draft, which is scheduled to take place next week in his hometown of Detroit, Michigan. Shady Records co-founder Paul Rosenberg recently shared a clip hyping up the annual football event, featuring Eminem and league commissioner Roger Goodell. In the clip, the D12 rapper and Goodell sit side by side, expressing their enthusiasm for the upcoming NFL Draft. Goodell exclaims, “Live from the D!”, to which Eminem amusingly responds, “You can just say Detroit.” The rapper then questions whether he is being pranked when Goodell corrects himself with the same energy.
The 89th annual NFL Draft is set to unfold from April 25–27. Eminem hinted earlier this week that he could be involved with the 2024 NFL Draft, following Big Sean’s announcement that he will be performing before the first round. The NFL organization further fueled speculation of Eminem’s participation by posting a picture of him and Goodell together, raising anticipation for his potential role in the event.
Earlier this year, Eminem and Big Sean were in attendance to witness the Detroit Lions’ historic victory against the Los Angeles Rams. The two rappers showed their support for the local team as they celebrated a 24–23 triumph at Ford Field, marking Detroit’s first playoff win since January 1992. Eminem and Big Sean were seen on the sidelines alongside former running back Barry Sanders and retired wide receiver Calvin Johnson, with fellow Detroit native Royce Da 5’9″ praising the Detroit sports legends on Instagram.
Joining the chorus of support, DJ Premier also expressed his admiration for the photo, highlighting the significance of Detroit’s sports icons. Eminem’s involvement in the NFL Draft and his unwavering support for Detroit’s sports teams continue to resonate with fans across the country, solidifying his status as a cultural icon with a deep connection to his roots.
