Unleash the Power of Knocked Loose and Poppy in Their Intensely Heavy New Single, “Suffocate” – A Must-Listen for Metal Fans
Knocked Loose has just dropped a brand new single, giving fans a taste of what to expect from their upcoming album, You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To. The new track, titled Suffocate, is a savagely heavy yet surprisingly danceable slice of hardcore noise. What makes this song even more exciting is the guest appearance of genre-blending artist Poppy, who reached out to the rising Kentucky band for a collaboration.
“I am a huge fan of Knocked Loose and honored to be on this one,” Poppy expressed her excitement about the collaboration. Guitarist Isaac Hale also shared his thoughts on the track, stating, “It was so fun because her voice allowed us to expand our palette and do some weird, off-the-wall things that we maybe wouldn’t do in another song. We felt that because we had Poppy’s voice involved, it allowed us to kind of push the boundaries of what we thought was feasible.”
The single is accompanied by a music video featuring Knocked Loose and Poppy tearing through the track in an eerie, dilapidated house, with some scenes showing Poppy hanging out with a horse. The visuals add an extra layer of intrigue to the already compelling track.
You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To is set to be released on May 10 through Pure Noise Records, and based on the teaser tracks, it’s shaping up to be an exciting record. Hale promises a diverse and dynamic album, stating, “On this album, we go the fastest we’ve ever gone; we go the scariest we’ve ever gone. We also go the catchiest and the most melodic that we’ve ever gone, and that’s the point. Instead of branching off into a specific direction, we want to encompass all directions.”
