2Pac’s Brother Speaks Out Against Drake’s Controversial Kendrick Lamar Diss – Find Out Why!
2Pac’s brother has recently criticized Drake for using his late brother’s voice in a diss track aimed at Kendrick Lamar. In an article by TMZ, Mopreme Shakur expressed his disapproval of Drake’s decision to involve the likeness of his sibling in a feud with another rapper.
Shakur believed that Drake should have confronted Kendrick Lamar directly instead of resorting to what he labeled as the “nuclear option” of using ‘Pac’s voice. Acknowledging Lamar’s significance in West Coast rap, he felt that the use of AI-generated vocals in this context was unnecessary.
He also mentioned that he has yet to determine a definitive winner in the ongoing hip hop battle, indicating that it is still premature to declare a victor.
The controversial track in question, “Taylor Made Freestyle,” utilized artificial intelligence to incorporate voices of legends like 2Pac and Snoop Dogg. Drake employed these iconic perspectives to challenge Lamar to respond, showcasing his lyrical prowess in addressing the feud.
After releasing the track, Drake referenced Taylor Swift’s new album and TDE head Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith in his lyrics, criticizing Lamar’s schedule and implying his involvement in the feud. This move intensified the already heated exchange between the two rappers.
Following the track’s release, popular commentator Akademiks shared a text message from Drake, expressing his frustration at having to deal with the escalating feud. Drake indicated his need to focus on the ongoing debate until it is resolved.
Months earlier, Kendrick Lamar, along with Future, Metro Boomin, and others, released “Like That,” in which Lamar dedicated his verse to taking shots at Drake and J. Cole. This further fueled the animosity between Lamar and Drake, drawing in more artists to pick sides in the escalating conflict.
Artists like Rick Ross, The Weeknd, and A$AP Rocky aligned themselves with Lamar, while J. Cole initially engaged in the feud with a diss track of his own but later chose to step away from the conflict.
