2Pac’s Hilarious Police Prank Ruins Scarface’s High: A Legendary Moment Recalled

Scarface, the legendary rapper from Geto Boys, recently took a trip down memory lane during his Behind The Desk Experience Tour and shared a hilarious anecdote involving the late Tupac Shakur. He reminisced about the time 2Pac played a big prank on him after he smoked “L.A. chronic” for the first time.

Scarface vividly recalled his first experience with the potent L.A. weed, stating, “First time I got to California, I’m in L.A., smoking LA weed. We ain’t ever had no shit like this before.” He was living in Burbank at the time, recording the Untouchable album when the incident occurred.

During his performance, Scarface narrated, “The homeboy pull up on me, he got a black Hummer with a siren and loudspeaker on it. I’m in my apartment in Burbank high as fuck for the first time ever, and they come up and they go, ‘Brad Jordan, we know you’re in there, come out with your hands up.’”

He continued, “I’m on the couch like this and my motherfucking high says [does a walking away action]. He just blew my fucking high, man, and he wanted to go to the studio and record, right? He wanted me to ride in this Hummer with him. I’m not going anywhere with him because he does not have a driver’s license. And he can’t drive at all.”

Scarface further paid tribute to 2Pac by performing their collaboration “Smile,” a track that became one of Scarface’s biggest hits when it was released in early 1997, a few months after 2Pac was tragically murdered.

This isn’t the first time Scarface has shared stories of his interactions with 2Pac. In a previous interview with Sway in 2015, Scarface recounted the wild experiences of touring with ‘Pac. He revealed, “He would always start fights. He used to go on before me. He would say, ‘Next motherfucker to throw something up here, I’ll give you $100 to beat his ass.’ He’d go back and get the bag from off the DJ stand and slide the glocks out and clear the goddamn arena out… I was so fucking mad at ‘Pac for three shows.”

Recently, Suge Knight also praised Scarface’s loyalty to 2Pac, stating, “Face is gonna fuck with ‘Pac no matter what, that’s why I was joyful when we did that song with Face and Pac, ‘Smile.’”

Scarface’s anecdotes of his time with 2Pac offer a glimpse into the friendship and camaraderie shared between these two iconic rappers. Their bond transcended music and left a lasting legacy in the hip-hop community, showcasing the importance of loyalty and respect among artists.
