Country Music Queen Reba McEntire Set to Host 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards – Don’t Miss Out on This Spectacular Event!
Reba McEntire is stepping back into the spotlight as the host of the Academy of Country Music Awards, making this her record-breaking 17th time at the helm of the prestigious awards show. The legendary country artist will lead the 2024 edition of the ACM Awards, which is set to take place on Thursday, May 16th at 8 p.m. ET, 7 p.m. CT, and 5 p.m. PT from the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.
Having garnered an impressive collection of 16 ACM Award wins and nine nominations for the coveted ACM entertainer of the year prize, including a win back in 1994, McEntire is no stranger to the ACM stage. In fact, no other artist has been invited to host this annual celebration of country music more times than she has.
On top of her hosting duties, McEntire will also be taking the stage to perform during the awards show. The multi-talented artist, who also serves as a mentor on NBC’s The Voice, holds the title of the ACM Award record-holder for most nominations for female artist of the year.
Expressing her excitement, McEntire shared, “I am tickled to pieces to get to host the ACM Awards for the 17th time. What an honor to have been part of the past, present, and now the future of the Academy of Country Music with Amazon Prime Video. I can’t wait to get to Texas and see everybody May 16.”
As previously reported, Luke Combs leads the pack with eight nominations for the 2024 ACM Awards, including entertainer of the year, male artist of the year, album of the year, song of the year, and single of the year. Following closely are Megan Moroney and Morgan Wallen, each with six nods.
Other artists with multiple nominations include Cody Johnson, Chris Stapleton, Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll, Jordan Davis, Kelsea Ballerini, and Zach Bryan.
ACM CEO Damon Whiteside expressed his enthusiasm for McEntire’s return as host, stating, “There is simply no one better to continue to elevate this show in our new global streaming era with Amazon Prime Video.”
Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, added, “She is one of the most influential artists in the music industry, and we are thrilled to welcome her back as host of the Academy of Country Music Awards.”
The nominations for the upcoming ceremony were announced on The Bobby Bones Show, with the awards show set to be produced by Dick Clark Productions. Raj Kapoor and Patrick Menton will serve as executive producers, with Damon Whiteside and Barry Adelman also in executive producer roles.
Streaming live exclusively for a global audience on Prime Video, the ACM Awards promise to be “country music’s party of the year.” The full rebroadcast will be available directly following the stream on Prime Video, as well as the next day for free on Amazon Freevee and the Amazon Music app.
