Duff McKagan, the acclaimed Guns N’ Roses bassist, recently sat down with Sammy Hagar in an interview on AXS TV where he shared his journey to sobriety after years of alcohol abuse. McKagan revealed that he only drank alcohol for 12 years and eventually ended up in the hospital before deciding to make a change and get sober.

Since then, McKagan has turned his life around and even released his latest album, ‘Lighthouse’, last year. Not one to rest on his laurels, Duff has already started working on new solo music much to the excitement of his fans.

During a recent fan Q&A session, McKagan surprised everyone by announcing a solo headline UK/European tour in support of his album ‘Lighthouse’. As if that wasn’t enough, McKagan has also announced an expanded digital edition of ‘Lighthouse’, now available on all digital service providers and streaming platforms. The deluxe release features eight additional tracks and three exclusive live performance videos filmed at Easy Street Records in Seattle, WA.

One of the standout tracks from the expanded edition is a stripped-down acoustic version of “I Just Don’t Know”, showcasing McKagan’s vocal prowess and the vulnerability of the lyrics. According to Duff, the song captures his personal thoughts on life’s unknowns and the afterlife.

In addition to the expanded edition of ‘Lighthouse’, fans can also enjoy a range of formats including streaming, download, CD, and LP. Deluxe versions and bundles featuring official Certificates of Authenticity signed by McKagan are also available, along with exclusive Lighthouse merchandise on duffonline.com.

Mckagan shared his excitement about the expanded edition, stating, “It’s very nice for me to add the This Is The Song EP from earlier last year, into the mix here of the Lighthouse record itself.” He also mentioned the studio track ‘C’mon Boys’, which was inspired by a spontaneous collaboration with Jesse Dayton.
