Gucci Mane Delivers Blazing Diss Track ‘TakeDat’ Targeting Diddy
Gucci Mane has made a fiery return to the music scene, taking aim at Diddy with his latest single “TakeDat.” The track, accompanied by a video helmed by Omar The Director, features Gucci repeating the phrase “No Diddy” a staggering 119 times, as reported by Complex.
The phrase “No Diddy” has gained traction on social media following numerous allegations of sexual assault and misconduct against Diddy, including accusations by producer Rodney āLil Rodā Jones Jr. Gucci Mane doesn’t hold back in the song, rapping lines like āThe CEO in the video but no Diddy/ āCause I aināt dancinā like a ho, no Diddy/ Canāt go out like Pac, no kizzy,ā intertwining “No Diddy” into every bar.
Referencing Cassie’s lawsuit against Diddy, where she alleged that he destroyed Kid Cudi’s car out of jealousy, Gucci spits, āBut I blow a nāa car up like Kid Cudiās/ Iām on the yacht, takinā shots, no Diddy.” Diddy previously denied all allegations against him, vehemently defending his name and reputation on social media.
In the visually stunning video for “TakeDat,” Gucci Mane and his wife Keyshia KaāOir pay homage to a scene from The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Big Poppa” video, directed by Hype Williams. The clip sees Gucci Mane name-dropping a host of other hip-hop figures, including Drake, 50 Cent, 2Pac, Yung Miami, and Biggie.
Despite the jabs at various artists, Gucci’s focus on Diddy is clear. In response, 50 Cent, known for his public feuds, reposted the clip, further provoking Diddy. āOh sāt WOP TOOK DA HIT this Diddy POPPED Thatās what you get,ā 50 wrote.
