Another incident in January 2022 claimed that Jeezy struck Mai in the face with a closed fist just weeks after the birth of their daughter, Monaco, causing a hemorrhage.

The filing detailed a history of threats, violence, and bodily harm, with Mai stating that she believed Jeezy had changed prior to their marriage but soon realized that was not the case. Two additional incidents mentioned in the filing involved Jeezy crashing a golf cart while allegedly intoxicated, resulting in injuries to both himself and Mai, as well as a confrontation following the 2022 Atlanta Mayor’s Masked Ball.

During the altercation, Jeezy reportedly verbally abused Mai and ripped her dress in anger. Their relationship, which began in 2018 and led to marriage in March 2021, took a turn for the worse, culminating in Jeezy filing for divorce in September 2023 after two-and-a-half years of marriage. According to documents, the former couple was living in a state of separation, with Jeezy citing the marriage as “irretrievably broken” with no hope for reconciliation.
