The buzz around this project started with a series of social media posts from those involved in the mysterious project.
According to writer and singer/songwriter Antonella Gambotto-Burke, who had the privilege of spending time with Robert Plant, the project is currently under wraps but is known to involve a Led Zeppelin track. She shared her experience by expressing how amazed she was by the intense magic Plant brings with him, filling the room with his spiritual presence and untouchable music. Gambotto-Burke, known for her book ‘Apple: Sex, Drugs, Motherhood and the Recovery of the Feminine’, also collaborates with producer Gavin Monaghan as the duo Mama ft. Antonella. She took to Facebook to reveal more details about the project, highlighting how Plant specifically requested to work with Magic Garden Recording Studio and commending Monaghan as one of the few living producers to have the honor of working on a Led Zeppelin track.
Studio owner Monaghan, previously having worked with Plant on a song by Scott Matthews, expressed his excitement about working with Plant once again on this mystery project. His social media post hinted at the possibility of Plant revisiting more than one Led Zeppelin classic for the reimagined project, leaving fans eagerly anticipating what’s to come.
Wolves Records, the label under which this project is taking shape, was established in 2021 by Wolverhampton Wanderers, the football club that Plant supports and serves as vice-president. The label boasts talented artists like Reepa, Ben Kidson, Split The Dealer, and Sophia Saffarian, representing various genres from grime and rap to pop-punk and soul/r&b.
