Experience the Sensational Ludacris Performance at Atlanta Falcons Hip Hop 50!
Ludacris has made history by receiving his first-ever Webby Award for his thrilling performance during the Atlanta Falcons Hip Hop 50 celebration. The Atlanta legend expressed his excitement and gratitude for the honor on Instagram, emphasizing that the recognition was something he would have done regardless of winning an award.
Back in November, as part of Atlanta’s 50th anniversary of Hip Hop celebrations, Ludacris rappelled from the roof of Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium while performing his classic hit “Move Bitch.” The rapper and actor shared GoPro footage of his daring stunt on Instagram, garnering praise from both attendees and fellow rap artists watching remotely.
During the event, Ludacris appeared at the end of the third quarter, capping off a day filled with Hip Hop celebrations. The halftime show featured performances by Jeezy, Cee-Lo Green, Jermaine Dupri, Big Boi, and Quavo, with the Migos rapper paying tribute to his late cousin TakeOff.
T.I. also made an appearance at the event, leading the Falcons onto the field while performing his 2004 hit “Bring Em Out.” The Falcons, a team with a deep connection to the Hip Hop scene due to the abundance of artists hailing from the city, announced the celebrations with a lineup of local rap legends and contemporary stars.
“We are extremely excited to celebrate this milestone and invite fans and the entire Atlanta community to join us,” said Tameka Rish, senior vice president of fan and associate experience at AMB Sports and Entertainment. Reflecting on the long-standing relationship between the Hip Hop community and the Falcons, Rish emphasized the city’s significant role in shaping the Hip Hop world and the team’s commitment to unity and cultural collaboration.
The event showcased the enduring bond between the Atlanta Falcons and the Hip Hop community, highlighting the city’s rich musical history and the influence of artists like Jermaine Dupri, AndrĂ© 3000, Ludacris, and T.I. The celebrations underscored Atlanta’s continued relevance in the Hip Hop scene and the team’s dedication to honoring its cultural heritage through music.
Ludacris’ Webby Award win is a testament to his fearless and innovative approach to entertainment, embodying the spirit of Atlanta’s vibrant Hip Hop culture. As a pioneer in the rap scene, Ludacris continues to push boundaries and captivate audiences with his electrifying performances, solidifying his status as a true icon in the music industry.
