Rihanna Promises New Music Will Be ‘Amazing’ and Showcase Personal Growth
Rihanna took center stage in Los Angeles on Friday to launch her latest Fenty Beauty product, the Soft’lit Foundation, marking what she called a “new era in foundation for the brand.”
The multi-talented singer and businesswoman shared that the new cosmetics product offers a “soft, luminescent finish” inspired by the beautiful golden hours in her native Barbados.
But let’s talk music! Fans have been eagerly anticipating Rihanna’s next album, known as R9, following her 2016 hit album Anti. In an interview with Extra at the event, Rihanna hinted at what’s to come in her upcoming music.
She assured fans that her new album will be worth the wait, stating, “It’s gonna be amazing. It has to be – that is the only reason it’s not out yet. If I’m not feeling it and I’m not feeling like it represents the evolution, the time I spent away…There should be a show of growth, right?”
Rihanna expressed her desire to have fun with her music and demonstrate her growth as an artist. She mentioned that she would only collaborate with another artist if it’s an intentional choice, emphasizing the importance of authenticity in her work.
Just recently, Rihanna teased fans by stating, “I already got stuff that I feel like I could make hits out of.” She described her work in progress as “so good,” leaving fans excited for what’s to come.
While details about Rihanna’s music plans remain undisclosed, she confirmed her attendance at the upcoming Met Gala. Revealing that she has two dress options for the event, Rihanna hinted at a more understated look for the prestigious occasion.
She shared, “I’m actually just keeping it real simple this year. Very simple. I think it’s gonna come to what my makeup and what my hair is going to do. We wanna play with that, but I have no idea what I’m gonna do with that.”
Despite her status as a mother to her almost two-year-old son with A$AP Rocky, Rihanna emphasized the importance of maintaining her sense of style and confidence since becoming a parent.
She reflected, “When you become a mom, your style goes from like ‘blah’ to ‘let’s see what fits’ to ‘I’m gonna be a bad bitch today.’ You’ve got to remind yourself a little bit sometimes, you know, bad bitch is still in there somewhere.”
With Rihanna’s commitment to producing exceptional music and her effortless style, fans can expect nothing short of excellence in her upcoming projects, showcasing her evolution as an artist and a mother.
