Rock Legends, The Rolling Stones, Set Houston Ablaze to Kick Off ‘Hackney Diamonds’ Tour!

The Rolling Stones kicked off their highly anticipated Hackney Diamonds tour on Sunday, April 28, with an electrifying performance in Houston at the packed NRG Stadium. The rock icons brought their A-game to the stage, thrilling the audience with their timeless hits and energetic presence.

Frontman Mick Jagger, always the charismatic showman, greeted the Texas crowd with enthusiasm, setting the tone for an unforgettable night of music and entertainment. Alongside guitar legends Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood, Jagger led the band through an impressive 18-song setlist that spanned their illustrious career.

Opening with the iconic “Start Me Up,” The Stones delved into classics like “Gimme Shelter,” “Paint It Black,” and surprised fans with deep cuts such as “Out of Time.” The band also showcased tracks from their latest album, Hackney Diamonds, including the energetic “Angry,” the soulful “Mess It Up,” and the haunting “Sweet Sounds of Heaven.”

The concert culminated with a rousing rendition of their timeless anthem, “Satisfaction,” leaving the audience buzzing with excitement and satisfaction. But the Hackney Diamonds tour is far from over, with The Rolling Stones set to perform in various cities across the United States through July 17, including stops in Las Vegas, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Chicago.

Prior to the tour, The Stones treated fans to an exclusive performance at club Racket in New York City, where they previewed songs from Hackney Diamonds. Joined by the legendary Lady Gaga on vocals for “Sweet Sounds of Heaven,” the band captivated the intimate audience with their raw talent and infectious energy.

Hackney Diamonds marks a significant milestone for The Rolling Stones as their first album since 2005’s A Bigger Bang. The record is also the first release without the iconic drummer Charlie Watts, who passed away in August 2021 at the age of 80, leaving behind a legacy of timeless music and unforgettable performances.

With each live show, The Rolling Stones continue to prove why they are considered one of the greatest rock bands of all time. Their ability to captivate audiences and deliver memorable performances is a testament to their enduring legacy and unwavering passion for music.
