Taylor Swift Dominates Hot 100 with Record-Breaking 32 Songs in One Week!
Taylor Swift has had a phenomenal week on Billboard’s charts, breaking multiple records and climbing to the top. Her latest album, The Tortured Poet’s Department, has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with an impressive 2.61 million equivalent album units, marking one of the biggest opening weeks since 2014. This accomplishment ties her with Jay-Z for the most solo No. 1 albums, only behind The Beatles who have 19 in total.
But that’s not all. Every single song from the deluxe version of The Tortured Poet’s Department has debuted on the Hot 100 chart, with the top 14 spots completely dominated by Taylor Swift. This is a historic moment in music history, with Swift securing the biggest takeover ever from the No. 1 position downwards. Some of the standout tracks from the album include “Fortnight,” featuring Post Malone, “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” and “Florida!!!” which features Florence + The Machine.
In addition to her new releases, Swift has brought back her 2019 hit “Cruel Summer,” landing herself an impressive 32 total songs on the Hot 100. This achievement makes her the woman with the most entries in a single week in the chart’s 65-year history. Only Morgan Wallen has charted more songs in one week, with 36 entries when his album One Thing at a Time debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 in March 2023.
Further solidifying her dominance, Swift has charted an unprecedented 26 songs in the top 40 of the latest Hot 100, surpassing Drake’s previous record of 22 entries in the top 40. She also ties with Drake for the most top 20 entries in a single week, with 15 of her songs making it into this highly coveted region. Drake held the previous record with 15 of the top 20 spots back in 2022.
With the debut of 31 new tracks, Swift has now accumulated a total of 263 Hot 100 entries, the highest among women and second only to Drake overall. She boasts an impressive 12 No. 1 hits and 59 top 10 hits, solidifying her status as one of the most successful artists in music history.
