Ron Wood of the Rolling Stones Discovers a Revolutionary Method of Elevating His Experience
Rock icon Ron Wood, known for his tumultuous history with drug and alcohol addiction, has found a new form of getting high – being back on stage with the Rolling Stones. The legendary band has kicked off their latest tour following over a month of intense rehearsals in Los Angeles. They are set to perform more than 20 shows across the U.S. until July 17 in support of their album from last year, ‘Hackney Diamonds’.
In an interview with The Sun newspaper, Wood shared his experience during the rehearsal period. He mentioned that the band had their “noses to the grindstone” in Los Angeles, rehearsing for five weeks to prepare for the upcoming stadium shows. According to Wood, getting back on stage in front of thousands of fans gives him a natural high that surpasses any drug or alcohol-induced experience.
Despite the party atmosphere that usually accompanies life on the road, Wood revealed that he now prefers quiet time, enjoying green juices and light workouts with his personal trainer to maintain his health. He also mentioned his addiction to the Netflix TV series, ‘Ripley’.
One highlight of the rehearsals was the presence of Paul McCartney, who collaborated with the Rolling Stones on the track “Bite My Head Off” from ‘Hackney Diamonds’. Wood expressed his gratitude for McCartney’s support and mentioned an emotional going-away party thrown by McCartney, which included a surprise guest – Neil Young. The reunion with Young, an old friend of Wood’s, was described as lovely, and they plan to meet again at the New Orleans Jazz Festival.
Wood’s rejuvenated passion for performing on stage reflects a positive shift in his lifestyle and career. The electrifying energy of live performances continues to fuel his creativity and inspire fans worldwide. As the Rolling Stones embark on their latest tour, the timeless music of the band combined with Wood’s renewed enthusiasm promises an unforgettable experience for concert-goers.
