Suge Knight Defends Diddy Against Sexual Assault Claims – Find Out Why!
Suge Knight, the infamous Death Row Records co-founder, has surprisingly thrown his support behind old rival Diddy following numerous allegations of sexual assault against the Bad Boy boss. The unexpected show of empathy from Knight came during his appearance in the newly released Tubi documentary TMZ Presents: The Downfall of Diddy, where he spoke from prison about his feelings towards Diddy’s legal troubles.
In the documentary, Knight expressed a sentiment that many might not have expected from him. He stated, “My first reaction, it’s not the reaction I thought I would have when it came to Puffy. I thought it’d be a reaction like he got what he got coming ‘cause everybody knows what’s been going on. My reaction was actually different because the first thing that came to my mind was: he has his sons, he has his daughters. My reaction was first about the kids. The thing is, I feel it’s a bad day for Hip Hop. It’s a bad day for the culture because it makes us all look bad.”
Adding to his perspective, Knight emphasized, “I’m not the type of guy to cheer for other people’s downfall. If somebody got killed or something happens to them, then I’m not going to pop champagne bottles. If I have a problem with Puffy, that’s for he and I to sit down in a room and resolve it. So for the tragedy on both sides, to the victims, to him, that’s definitely nothing to cheer about.”
Despite his comments in the documentary, Suge Knight has also taken shots at Diddy since the sexual assault allegations came to light. On his podcast Collect Call, Knight made further allegations against Diddy, suggesting that he mistreated a female assistant due to a situation involving his then-girlfriend Cassie and rapper Kid Cudi.
Speaking to his co-host Dave Mays, Knight claimed, “Same time he beat the shit outta muthafucking Cassie, he had an assistant by the name of Capricorn. He felt Cap was keepin’ this shit on the low about if she was messin’ with Cudi or not. Puffy beat the shit out that bitch. Not only did he beat the shit out of her, it was an Interscope person, an Interscope check, that paid her to settle so he wouldn’t go to jail.”
Adding to the controversy, Knight later joked about the situation, stating, “Puffy, I don’t wanna see you go down, but if you need a celly, I’ma grant your ass my cell, boy! Have your cook game working. I don’t want no head, but you gon’ be cleaning toilets.”
It’s worth noting that Diddy has vehemently denied all allegations against him and has not faced criminal charges despite being under federal investigation for alleged sex trafficking. The situation between Knight and Diddy continues to be complex and layered, adding yet another chapter to the ongoing saga of their turbulent relationship.
