Taylor Swift’s Incredible Reaction to Her Record-Breaking Success on the Hot 100 Chart.
Taylor Swift has once again made history in the music industry by claiming the top 14 spots on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart dated May 4. All of these tracks, including the lead single “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone, are from her recently released album, The Tortured Poets Department.
The 34-year-old superstar took to social media to express her excitement, writing, “You’ve outdone yourselves, this is unbelievable,” in response to the incredible news.
In addition to dominating the Hot 100 chart, Swift also has 32 songs charting in total – 31 from the deluxe version of The Tortured Poets Department, along with the hit track “Cruel Summer” from her previous album, Lover. This achievement marks the most songs ever charted by a woman in a single week.
On streaming platforms, Tortured Poets has garnered over a billion listens across its 31 tracks on Spotify within just five days of its release, making it the fastest album to reach this milestone. The album also recently became Spotify’s most streamed album in a single day, accumulating over 300 million streams within the first 24 hours of its availability. The single “Fortnight” also set a new record for the most single-day streams for an individual song on the platform.
Reflecting on her latest project, Swift shared on Instagram, “This period of the author’s life is now over, the chapter closed and boarded up. There is nothing to avenge, no scores to settle once wounds have healed. And upon further reflection, a good number of them turned out to be self-inflicted. This writer is of the firm belief that our tears become holy in the form of ink on a page. Once we have spoken our saddest story, we can be free of it.”
