Unleash the Madness: Knotfest Iowa Reveals Epic 2024 Lineup Featuring Slipknot, Knocked Loose, and Hatebreed!
Welcome to Music Nation 365, where we bring you the latest updates on all things music-related. Today, we are thrilled to announce that Knotfest will be making a grand return to Iowa for the first time since 2021. This one-day festival is set to feature an epic lineup including heavy hitters like Slipknot, Knocked Loose, Hatebreed, Poison The Well, and more.
The festival will be held at Water Works Park in Des Moines on September 21. The main highlight of the event will undoubtedly be Slipknot, as they headline the festival with a special performance by The Nine. Fans can expect an electrifying show filled with nostalgia and raw energy.
Joining Slipknot on stage will be a stellar lineup of bands including Knocked Loose, Hatebreed, Poison The Well, Gwar, Vended, Dying Wish, Zulu, Twin Temple, Holy Wars, Swollen Teeth, and Spine & Dose. It’s a lineup that promises to deliver a diverse range of metal music that will keep fans on their feet throughout the day.
Slipknot’s set at Knotfest is being promoted as a “one-night only” celebration of the band’s self-titled debut album, marking its 25th anniversary. While the exact details of how they plan to honor the album remain under wraps, fans can expect a memorable performance that pays homage to the band’s roots.
For those eager to secure their spot at the festival, premium presale tickets will be available starting tomorrow, April 30, from 10am to 12pm CT, followed by a general presale. Tickets will then be open to the general public on Friday, May 3, at 10am CT. This is a chance for fans to secure their tickets early and ensure they don’t miss out on this epic event.
But that’s not all the news from Slipknot. The band recently played their first show of 2024 on April 25, where they introduced their new drummer. While the identity of the new member has not been officially confirmed, speculation points to former Sepultura player Eloy Casagrande as the newest addition to the band.
In addition to the new drummer, Slipknot also unveiled new masks and jumpsuits during the April 25 show, drawing inspiration from their iconic look during the 1999 Slipknot album cycle. It’s a nod to the band’s history and evolution over the years, showcasing their commitment to putting on visually stunning performances for their fans.
After Knotfest, Slipknot will be hitting the road with performances scheduled at Welcome To Rockville in Daytona Beach, Florida on May 12, and the Sonic Temple Festival in Columbus, Ohio on May 19. Fans can also look forward to a European tour in December where the band will be honoring the Slipknot album by performing it in its entirety.
Shawn “Clown” Crahan, percussionist for Slipknot, shared in an interview with Kerrang! his excitement about playing the album live during the December tour dates. He emphasized the significance of celebrating one of the greatest metal albums and the band’s dedication to delivering an unforgettable experience for their fans.
