Wiz Khalifa Pays Tribute to XXXTENTACION and Pop Smoke in Epic Vegas Performance!
Wiz Khalifa, the Taylor Gang leader, recently paid tribute to some of Hip Hop’s fallen soldiers during his show at Drai’s Beachclub in Las Vegas. The touching performance featured Wiz flashing photos of rappers like XXXTENTACION, Pop Smoke, and Nipsey Hussle on the screen above the stage, along with their birth and death years. Surprisingly, none of these talented artists, except for DMX, made it to their 40th birthday.
But the homage didn’t stop there. Wiz also remembered other departed rappers like TakeOff, PNB Rock, Young Dolph, and King Von. The show was a somber yet heartfelt reminder of the impact these artists have had on the music industry and their fans.
Aside from his live performances, Wiz Khalifa has been teasing fans with the upcoming release of the sequel to his classic 2010 mixtape, Kush & Orange Juice. In a recent Instagram post, Wiz shared behind-the-scenes footage of himself working on a track for the project, expressing his excitement for fans to experience this new body of work.
However, not all of Wiz’s fans are as thrilled about the upcoming release. Some have expressed disappointment in the teaser snippet, which they found to be more melodic and less like the original mixtape’s music. Comments ranged from concerns about the new music being too commercial to fears that the sequel might not live up to the original mixtape’s legacy.
Despite the mixed reactions, Wiz Khalifa remains steadfast in his creative vision for Kush & Orange Juice 2. The anticipation for this project continues to build, with fans eagerly awaiting the chance to hear Wiz’s latest musical offerings.
