Don’t Miss Out: Mach-Hommy Reveals New Album, Teams Up with 03 Greedo for Latest Single Release!
New Jersey rapper Mach-Hommy is gearing up to release his highly anticipated new album, #RICHAXXHAITIAN. This album serves as the official follow-up to his previous projects, Pray for Haiti and Balens Cho, and marks the final installment of a series dedicated to his native country of Haiti.
To kick things off, Mach enlisted the talents of 03 Greedo for the hook and fellow Haitian producer KAYTRANADA for the album’s title track and lead single, “RICHAXXHAITIAN.” The track features Mach’s signature rapid-fire flow, with Greedo delivering soulful vocals over a bouncy beat that pays homage to Afrobeats legend Odion Iruoje’s “Ikebe.”
#RICHAXXHAITIAN is slated for release on May 17, just in time for Haitian Flag Day. The significance of this date dates back to May 18, 1803, during the Haitian Revolution when the country’s flag was created. This event marked Haiti’s independence from France, solidifying its position as the first free Black republic in the world and the second oldest independent nation in the Western Hemisphere.
This upcoming album from Mach-Hommy will delve into Haiti’s rich history as the world’s first free Black republic while envisioning the country’s future as a beacon of Black cultural and economic excellence. Against the backdrop of Haiti’s current political turmoil, with Prime Minister Ariel Henry recently resigning, Mach aims to highlight the greatness of his homeland and challenge the negative stereotypes associated with it.
#RICHAXXHAITIAN will feature production from Conductor Williams, KAYTRANADA, Quelle Chris, Sadhu Gold, and more. The album will also boast an impressive lineup of collaborators, including Black Thought, Roc Marciano, 03 Greedo, HEPHZIBAH, Drea D’Nur, Your Old Droog, Tha God Fahim, and Big Cheeko.
