Exciting news for music fans as San Diego band Electric Mud gears up to open for The Rolling Stones at their upcoming tour stop in Arizona. The band will be taking the stage on Tuesday night at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ as part of the 2024 “Hackney Diamonds Tour”. Electric Mud is set to kick off the show at 7 p.m., with the legendary Rolling Stones following at 8 p.m.

Electric Mud, formed in San Diego in 2008, is led by former U.S. Navy SEAL Marc Hansen, along with other band members who also served in the U.S. Navy. The band has received recognition, winning San Diego Music Awards for Best Rock Album in 2019 and 2021. Electric Mud consists of Matt Hansen on drums, Marc Hansen on vocals and guitar, Matt Sorena on bass, Colton Cori on guitar, and Dave Stagno on guitar and keys.
Interestingly, three of the band’s members, Marc and Matt Hansen, and Matt Sorena, are the nephews of none other than Rolling Stones guitarist and vocalist Keith Richards and his wife, Patti Hansen. This family connection adds an extra layer of excitement to their performance.
Electric Mud’s music is a fusion of traditional rock with a nostalgic 60s and 70s sound, paying homage to legendary artists such as The Rolling Stones, Otis Redding, Tom Petty, and Waylon Jennings.
