Announcing the Highly Anticipated Collaboration Album from Hit-Boy, The Alchemist & Big Hit!
Hit-Boy, The Alchemist, and Big Hit have joined forces to announce a collaborative album titled Black & Whites, kicking off their exciting project with a trailer inspired by the cult classic film Office Space. In a playful parody of a memorable scene from the 1999 movie, the talented trio can be seen smashing a printer and keyboards with gusto.
In a behind-the-scenes clip shared on TikTok, it was revealed that The Alchemist was actually pounding on the ground rather than a printer, adding a touch of humor to the creative process. The three artists also treated fans to the first single from the upcoming album, “Foreclosure,” where Big Hit, who happens to be Hit-Boy’s father, delivers compelling bars over a dynamic beat crafted by the two producers.
While the release date for Black & Whites is yet to be unveiled, this collaboration comes on the heels of another successful joint project between Hit-Boy and The Alchemist earlier this year. In February, the duo surprised fans with an EP titled Theodore & Andre, featuring three tracks that highlighted their undeniable chemistry and musical prowess.
Hit-Boy, known for his prolific output, also made waves with a previous album alongside his father, Big Hit, titled The Truth Is in My Eyes. This groundbreaking release marked the first time a rapper’s entire album was produced by their own son, adding a unique and personal touch to their musical journey.
Following the album’s release, Hit-Boy took to Instagram to express the deep significance of collaborating with his father, sharing heartfelt reflections on their shared passion for music. Reflecting on their journey together, Hit-Boy recounted childhood dreams of making music with his father and the challenges they faced along the way.
He wrote, “Being in elementary school telling people me and my dad were gonna make music together one day when he’s back out on the streets. Over the years we have had points where he touched down for a second maybe a few months MAX and we started recording and making some progress. Then he’d let the streets win and he’d end up right back in the cell for years at a time.”
Hit-Boy continued, “Big Hit has spent about 30 years of his life on the inside and I still never looked at him as anything other than my dad. He’s himself at all times and it’s no cut on how he moves, love it or hate it. This time feels different for me personally; I’m a lot more mature and I know who I am, so as a man I can hear him out and also be a leader for him in my own right.”
Concluding his heartfelt message, Hit-Boy shared, “It’s a lot of pressure, but it’s also therapy for both of us, I would say. 9 pm PST tonight, we’re dropping his DEBUT album The Truth Is In My Eyes, and I couldn’t be more proud of this moment. Most people wait until their family passes away to honor them in this way, but we’re doing it right here and now while we’re ALIVE.”
As fans eagerly anticipate the release of Black & Whites and continue to celebrate the musical collaborations between Hit-Boy, The Alchemist, and Big Hit, the impact of their work resonates across the music industry, showcasing the power of collaboration, creativity, and heartfelt storytelling.
