Axl Rose’s Health Crisis: Why He is Following Doctor’s Orders After Cancelling Guns N’ Roses Performance
Guns N’ Roses lead singer Axl Rose has issued an apology to fans and reassured them that their cancelled gig will be rescheduled due to illness. The iconic rock band left fans disappointed after their Glasgow performance was cancelled on short notice.
The band is currently on a tour of the UK, Ireland, and Europe, having recently played in London and with a gig in Munich set to continue as planned. In a statement, the band assured fans that they are working on rescheduling options for the cancelled show and asked fans to hold onto their tickets for further updates.
Axl Rose took to Twitter to express his gratitude for the well wishes from fans and explain that he is following doctors’ orders, getting rest, working with a vocal coach, and addressing sound issues. He emphasized the band’s focus on giving fans the best experience possible and their excitement to perform in Munich.
Following Munich, Guns N’ Roses will play in Milan, Vienna, and conclude the European leg of their tour in Hanover. The band is set to head to Australia and New Zealand in November for the next leg of their tour.
Guns N’ Roses, formed in 1985 in California, is one of the most successful rock bands in the world. The band’s original members included Axl Rose, Izzy Stradlin, Tracii Guns, Rob Gardner, and Ole Beich, with Duff McKagan, Steven Adler, and Slash later joining the lineup.
In a 2019 interview, Slash recalled the band’s formation, highlighting Axl Rose’s abrupt departure from their previous band and the swift creation of Guns N’ Roses. The band’s debut album was a massive success, with hit tracks like Paradise City, Welcome to the Jungle, and Sweet Child o’ Mine becoming rock classics.
