Breaking News: BE:FIRST’s ‘Masterplan’ Tops Japan Hot 100 Chart – Number 1 Debut!

BE:FIRST’s latest single, “Masterplan,” has taken the Japanese music scene by storm, securing the top spot on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 chart. This dynamic septet managed to dethrone Creepy Nuts, who held onto the number one spot for an impressive 13 weeks before BE:FIRST’s triumphant entry.

Released on April 24th, “Masterplan” quickly made its mark, selling 115,963 copies in its first week and snagging the number two spot for CD sales. Additionally, the track garnered an impressive 7,955,802 streams, earning it the seventh position for streaming. Not stopping there, “Masterplan” also dominated in downloads with 35,174 units, radio airplay, and video views, showcasing BE:FIRST’s unwavering popularity and talent.

This accomplishment marks BE:FIRST’s sixth number one hit, following the success of their previous chart-toppers like “Gifted,” “Bye-Good-Bye,” “Scream,” “Boom Boom Back,” and “Mainstream.” With each release, the septet continues to captivate audiences and solidify their status as musical powerhouses in the Japanese music industry.

Creepy Nuts’ “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born” may have slipped to the number two spot, but the track saw a 105% increase in downloads from the previous week. Despite relinquishing their top position, Creepy Nuts’ music continues to resonate with fans and maintain a strong presence on the charts.

Omoinotake’s “IKUOKU KONEN” made a notable jump from fifth to third place this week. The three-man band recently celebrated their formation with a headlining show at the Osaka Jo Yano outdoor concert hall, which likely contributed to a slight increase in downloads. Omoinotake is gearing up for the digital release of their new single, “Tsubomi” (Bud), set to be featured as the ending theme of the anime series My Hero Academia Season 7.

WEST.’s “Heart” made a grand entrance at number six on the chart. This anniversary single commemorates the ten-year milestone of the seven-member boy band’s CD debut and saw a whopping 263,585 CDs sold in its first week. Despite landing at number 19 for radio airplay, WEST. continues to captivate fans with their musical prowess and celebratory release.
