Don’t Miss This EPIC Duet by Marcus King & JJ Wilde of a Rolling Stones Classic in Portland!

Marcus King kicked off his two-night residency at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, Oregon, on Tuesday night. The talented guitarist treated the audience to a special cover of The Rolling Stones’ classic track “Wild Horses” towards the end of his performance, accompanied by the opening act, JJ Wilde.

Currently touring in support of his latest album “Mood Swings,” which was produced by the legendary Rick Rubin and released on April 5, King showcased his musical prowess by performing a selection of tracks from the new record. With eight out of the 11 songs from the album making the setlist, fans were treated to powerful renditions of tracks like “Delilah,” “Fuck My Life Up Again,” and “Hero.”

In addition to his new material, Marcus King also delved into fan favorites from his previous albums produced by Dan Auerbach. Hits from his 2020 album “El Dorado” made their presence felt, with tracks like “Beautiful Stranger,” “The Well,” and “Wildflowers and Wine” getting the crowd moving. The singer-songwriter also showcased songs like “It’s Too Late” and “Lie Lie Lie” from his latest album “Young Blood,” released in 2022.

After a captivating performance of “Bipolar Love” from “Mood Swings” and “Lie Lie Lie,” Marcus King was joined on stage by JJ Wilde. The duo mesmerized the audience with a stripped-down rendition of “Wild Horses” by The Rolling Stones, featuring King’s acoustic guitar as the only accompaniment.

Wrapping up the show on a high note, Marcus King treated the crowd to a thrilling cover of The Allman Brothers Band’s “Southbound,” originally penned by the late Dickey Betts. Fans can catch him for the second night at the Crystal Ballroom tonight.
