In solidarity with Palestine, all 12 Irish bands scheduled to perform at SXSW withdrew from the event. The Belfast rap trio, Kneecap, highlighted their concerns about the festival’s associations with companies involved in conflicts that have resulted in loss of innocent lives.
Despite the previous backlash, the sponsors for the upcoming SXSW London edition have not been disclosed yet. As the anticipation builds for this iconic festival’s debut in the UK, music lovers can expect a week full of discovery, inspiration, and unforgettable performances.
