Legendary Lineup: Mach-Hommy Enlists Black Thought, Roc Marciano, and More for Hot New Album!

Mach-Hommy, the Haitian-American rapper, is gearing up to release his highly anticipated album #RICHAXXHAITIAN, and he has enlisted an impressive lineup of guest artists to join him on this project. The album is set to drop on May 17, just in time for Haitian Flag Day, and promises to be a powerful exploration of Haiti’s rich history as the world’s first free Black republic.

While the full tracklist is yet to be revealed, fans can look forward to collaborations with the likes of Black Thought, Roc Marciano, Your Old Droog, 03 Greedo, and KAYTRANADA. The album will also feature production from Conductor Williams and Quelle Chris, among others.

In a press release, Mach-Hommy expressed his excitement about working with such talented artists, stating, “All the people I worked with are people who I know and who I’ve worked with before. I like to deal with like-minded creatives. Even if the person has their own panache or je nais se quoi that they bring to the table, there has to be a thread of commonality between us in order for the work to sustain. And not to mention they’re fucking talented, exceptionally gifted at what they do, and the ear that they possess.”

This album marks Mach-Hommy’s first solo effort since his previous releases, Balens Cho and Pray for Haiti, both of which came out in 2021. #RICHAXXHAITIAN is the final installment in a tetralogy that began with 2016’s H.B.O. (Haitian Body Odor) and continued with his last two albums.

Black Thought, in a recent appearance on Questlove’s podcast, praised Mach-Hommy as one of his favorite underrated rappers, highlighting his unique style and contributions to the rap scene. The two artists have a history of collaboration, having previously worked together on Your Old Droog’s “Pravda” in 2020 alongside El-P and Tha God Fahim.

With its thematic focus on Haiti’s history and future, #RICHAXXHAITIAN promises to be a thought-provoking and culturally significant project.
