Watch Kerry King’s New Band Rock Out to Slayer Classics at Their Live Debut Last Night – Don’t Miss the Epic Footage!

Breaking news in the world of metal music! Slayer guitarist Kerry King’s solo band has officially made their live debut last night at Reggies in Chicago, Illinois. The legendary guitarist was joined by vocalist Mark Osegueda from Death Angel, co-guitarist Phil Demmel formerly of Machine Head, bassist Kyle Sanders from Hellyeah, and drummer Paul Bostaph from Slayer. Together, they delivered a powerful 17-song setlist that included a mix of Slayer covers and tracks from King’s upcoming debut album “From Hell I Rise.”

Among the thrilling Slayer covers performed were classics like “Repentless,” “Hate Worldwide,” “Chemical Warfare,” “Disciple,” “Raining Blood,” and “Black Magic.” Fans were treated to an unforgettable night of metal mayhem as these iconic songs reverberated through the venue.

In a recent interview with Metal Hammer, Kerry King shared his thought process behind selecting which Slayer songs to cover with his solo band. He expressed his intention to focus on his own material from the upcoming album during their upcoming tour in Europe, with minimal reliance on songs he wrote or co-wrote during his tenure with Slayer.

Despite his continued involvement with Slayer, who recently reunited for a series of US festival appearances after a five-year hiatus, King clarified that this return won’t lead to new music or extensive touring. Instead, it serves as a celebratory acknowledgement of the band’s legacy and impact on the metal scene.

Fans can look forward to Kerry King’s solo album “From Hell I Rise,” scheduled for release on May 17 through Reigning Phoenix Music. Additionally, his solo band will be embarking on a tour across North America and Europe this year, offering fans the chance to experience his new music live in concert. Tickets for these shows can be purchased on Kerry King’s official website.
