Grupo Frontera and Christian Nodal’s first collaboration, “Ya Pedo Quien Sabe,” has soared to the top spot on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Airplay chart, making it the eighth No. 1 hit for Grupo Frontera and the 17th for Nodal. This new chart-topper is the result of their hard work and talent coming together in a magical musical partnership.

According to Luminate, “Ya Pedo Quien Sabe” experienced a 17% increase in audience impressions, reaching 7.8 million listeners in the U.S. during the tracking week of April 26 to May 2. The song was released on March 7 under the Grupo Frontera label and is the second track from Frontera’s upcoming album, Jugando A Que No Pada Nada, scheduled for release on May 10.

The stunning composition of “Ya Pedo” was crafted by Edgar Barrera, Horacio Palencia, Nathan Galante, and Diego Bollella, with Barrera also handling the production. The song’s success on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart is a testament to the creative synergy between these talented individuals.

This remarkable collaboration between Grupo Frontera and Christian Nodal marks the fourth time in 2024 that a group and a solo artist have taken the number one spot on the chart. The previous chart-toppers in this category have set the stage for the duo’s well-deserved success.

Christian Nodal’s achievement of 17 chart-topping hits solidifies his position as the solo artist with the most number ones since the inception of the Regional Mexican Airplay chart in November 1994. He now shares the fifth spot for the most chart-toppers in the history of the Regional Mexican Airplay chart with La Arrolladora Banda el Limón de René Camacho, trailing behind esteemed names like Calibre 50, Banda MS de Sergio Lizárraga, Intocable, and Banda El Recodo de Cruz Lizárraga.

Grupo Frontera, on the other hand, is celebrating its eighth No. 1 hit, with their chart-topping success starting just over a year ago with “Que Vuelvas,” a collaboration with Carín León. Their consistent rise to the top reflects their dedication and passion for creating music that resonates with audiences.

“Ya Pedo Quien Sabe” has dethroned Calibre 50’s “Días Buenos, Días Malos” after the latter’s one-week reign, solidifying the duo’s position as chart-toppers. The song’s rapid climb to the top spot and its impact on the music scene is a testament to the power of Grupo Frontera and Christian Nodal’s collaboration.

Looking ahead, “Ya Pedo” is poised to conquer the Latin Airplay chart, where it has ascended to the fifth position with an impressive 16% gain in audience numbers. This dynamic collaboration between Grupo Frontera and Christian Nodal is set to make waves in the music industry and delight fans around the world.
