Jordan Davis has rolled up his fifth leader on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart as his hit single “Tucson Too Late” ascends to the number one spot on the survey dated May 18. The song saw a 14% increase to 30.5 million in audience from May 3-9, according to Luminate.
“Tucson Too Late” was co-authored by two pairs of brothers: Jordan and Jacob Davis and Josh and Matt Jenkins. The track is part of Jordan Davis’ album “Bluebird Days,” which reached its peak at number three on the Top Country Albums chart in March 2023, marking his second top ten appearance. His debut album, “Home State,” peaked at number six in April 2018.
This 36-year-old artist from Shreveport, Louisiana, has previously topped the Country Airplay chart with hits like “What My World Spins Around,” “Buy Dirt” featuring Luke Bryan, “Slow Dance in a Parking Lot,” and his debut hit “Singles You Up.”
In the new Country Airplay top 10, Jason Aldean secures his 38th top 10 hit with “Let Your Boys Be Country,” climbing 12-10 on the chart with 16 million audience impressions, up by 6%. This follows his previous hit, “Try That in a Small Town,” which reached number two in October 2023 and became his 10th number one hit on the Hot Country Songs chart and his first on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100.
Aldean now holds the eighth spot for the most top 10 hits on the Country Airplay chart since its launch in January 1990, joining the ranks of country legends like Kenny Chesney, George Strait, Tim McGraw, and more.
Post Malone and Morgan Wallen’s “I Had Some Help” debuted at number 18 on the Country Airplay chart with 10.4 million audience impressions, making it the highest debut on the chart. This marks Post Malone’s first entry as a lead act on Country Airplay. Additionally, Marshmello makes his debut on the chart with a collaboration with Kane Brown titled “Miles on It,” opening at number 30 with 4.7 million impressions.
Country icon Miranda Lambert also makes a splash on the chart with her new single “Wranglers,” debuting at number 37 with 3.6 million impressions. Lambert recently signed with Republic Records in a partnership with Big Loud for the promotion of her music to country radio.
Notably, Randy Travis makes a remarkable return to the Country Airplay chart after 15 years with his new single “Where That Came From,” landing at number 45 with 2.1 million impressions. Travis, known for his numerous number one hits on the Hot Country Songs chart, expressed gratitude for being able to create music again after facing health challenges.
