Shocking News: Creed Frontman Scott Stapp and Wife Split After Nearly Two Decades Together
Scott Stapp, the frontman of Creed, and his wife, Jaclyn, are parting ways after 18 years of marriage. The couple, who first met at an event for the Muscular Dystrophy Association in New York back in February 2006, have decided to move forward with a divorce after both filed separate petitions.
Jaclyn, 43, initially filed for divorce in June 2022 but later withdrew the petition. Subsequently, Scott, 50, filed for divorce in May 2023 as confirmed by court documents from Williamson County, Tenn. Stapp’s representative issued a statement expressing their intention to navigate this challenging time privately out of respect for their family.
The former couple has three children together: daughter Milan, son Daniel, and the youngest son Anthony. Scott also has another son, Jagger, from a previous marriage. Jaclyn, who had served as Stapp’s co-manager, signed with Shelter Management in 2020.
Scott Stapp faced a significant challenge in 2014 when he experienced a self-defined “psychotic break” fueled by drug and alcohol use. During this turbulent period, the singer was convinced that his family was involved in a terrorist plot. After undergoing intensive therapy, Scott and his wife embarked on the journey to rebuild their lives together, a process that was documented on VH1’s Couples Therapy in 2015.
Despite the personal challenges he has faced, Scott remains focused on his music career. Creed, the iconic hard rock band, reunited earlier this year and has been met with overwhelming demand for concert tickets. Stapp expressed his excitement over the band’s resurgence, citing numerous positive developments.
Moreover, Stapp is currently on a solo tour to support his fourth album, Higher Power, released through Napalm Records in March. The album features the hit single titled “Higher Power,” which has climbed to No. 12 on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart and garnered 1.4 million streams to date.
As Scott Stapp navigates through this challenging time in his personal life, he continues to find solace in his music and artistry, reflecting a resilient spirit that has defined his career over the years.
