Ken Carson’s Hit Single ‘Overseas’ Breaks Into the Top 100 Chart – Don’t Miss Out!
Atlanta native Ken Carson has officially made his mark as a Billboard Hot 100-charting rapper, with his latest track “Overseas” debuting at No. 79 on the list dated April 27. The track, released on April 12 under Opium/Interscope Records/ICLG, has garnered attention through its impressive streaming numbers, with 6.9 million official U.S. streams in its opening week (April 12-18) according to Luminate. Additionally, “Overseas” has secured a spot at No. 34 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, making it Carson’s third appearance on the ranking following the success of hits like “Fighting My Demons” and “Jennifer’s Body” last October.
Carson’s journey on the Billboard charts began on August 7, 2021, with the debut and peak of his first full-length album “Project X” at No. 18 on the Heatseekers Albums chart.
His subsequent album, “X,” released under Interscope, soared to the top of the Heatseekers Albums chart in July 2023 and also reached No. 115 on the prestigious Billboard 200 chart.
The release of his third studio project, “A Great Chaos,” proved to be Carson’s most commercially successful effort to date, reaching No. 11 on the Billboard 200 and peaking at No. 4 on the Top Rap Albums chart. This project features collaborations with acclaimed artists like Destroy Lonely and Lil Uzi Vert.
While “Overseas” marks Carson’s first appearance on the Hot 100 chart, he has come close to making the cut several times before, with nine songs on the Hot 100’s Bubbling Under list. Notable hits like “Jennifer’s Body,” “Fighting My Demons,” and “Singapore” featuring Destroy Lonely have graced this list, showcasing Carson’s consistency and talent in the industry.
Carson is signed to Opium, a label founded by Playboi Carti in 2019, known for spotlighting rage rap music influenced by the punk-rock sounds of the 1970s and ’80s. Opium operates as a subsidiary of Interscope, further solidifying Carson’s foothold in the music scene.
Looking ahead, Carson is set to join the legendary Red Hot Chili Peppers on their Unlimited Love tour next month. Additionally, he will embark on his own headline tour, the Chaos World Tour, beginning on July 8 in Orlando, Fla., and running through October. Carson’s upcoming projects and collaborations indicate a bright future ahead for the talented young rapper, cementing his status as a rising star in the music industry.
